Life Unprocessed

A little bit raw, a little bit paleo and nothing artificial. That's the goal anyway.

kettle bell work out

i found this video on you tube and it’s fabulous!  i do this wherever in the house i have room for my laptop and my weight(s), which is pretty much anywhere.  if you have not already tried the kettlebells, try it; i think you’ll love it!  it’s as easy or hard as you want it to be, it’s an incredibly short work out as work outs go, (do it for 20 minutes; you’ll feel it), and the workouts pack a punch!

avengers, kettlebells and family

so avengers opens tonight at midnight and my teenager asked me to go see it with him.  how sweet, right?  of course, it doesn’t matter that none of his friends like super hero movies…so technically, i’m the only one who would be interested in seeing the movie.

right?  right.

but first, a 39 minute kettlebell workout.  because there is always time for a work out.  i am now ready for super hero action.

aahhh….life is good!

kettlebell

finally broke down and got a kettlebell.  i’ve been thinking about it for a while and since the gym hasn’t really been a draw for me this past month, (but i’ve still been running…must be the beautiful weather!), i decided it was time for a change.

i got it at walmart but the biggest one they had was a 10 pounder.  i would have bought a heavier one as the weights i lift at the gym are always more than ten pounds, but somehow a ten pound kettlebell feels heavier than a 20 pound dumbbell so this will do for now as i adjust to the mechanics of the kettlebell work outs.  i’ll work with this for a while, then move up as soon as i find a heavier one, (and i refuse to pay shipping!)

just had my first little kettlebell work out, in the living room, in front of my laptop, watching a youtube video for instruction.  i actually feel a little winded so there has to be some aerobic attribute to this as well which is nice!  and i just set it in the living room window…doesn’t look like a work out space at all!

i think i’m going to like this change!
